Inspirational Biography Dec 20, 2006
This book gives practical examples of God's influence in life for someone who avails himself. I found the book inspirational and hard to put down.
A Believer In Echad's Abillity To Confuse The 'Wise' With The Simple! Aug 22, 2005
An inspiring, well written, truthful book, by a humble servant of Echad with nothing to gain or prove, just wanting to share his personal testimony with those "living below their priviledges" of The King of Kings & Lord Of Lords!
An engineer, fame, deceit, money nor eloquence was his motive(s), just a desire to let people know they don't need their EIB's [Educated Idiot Boxes/Brains] to 'understand' or receive the [free] "paid in full" conditional blessings & gifts for believers in YeSHUA/Jesus/Messias [Gal.3:13, III Jn.2].
In this world system, "no interest financing", health, happiness, etc, from on High is a real Godsend [Prov.10:22, 17:22, 18:14].
Some seem to forget That this same Redeemer of all mankind had a treasurer of His own, & women of ample means following & ministering to Him [as/when needed]!
Give me a break!!! May 17, 2005
So let me get this strait. It's God's will that Christians be wealthy and blessed all the time? Didn't Jesus Christ himself say that's hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven (Luke 18:24) and in Matthew 6:19 didn't he say not to lay up for yourselves treasures on earth but rather lay up treasure in heaven? It seems like God must have changed his mind. I think between the author's message and Jesus' message I'll go with Jesus. This kind of teaching that the author is trying to put over as Christian doctrine is nothing more than materialism and can be summed up by quoting 1st Timothy 6:10 "For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." My advice to the author is this. Spend more time reading what Jesus actually said and less time trying to sell books.
Trouble in River City May 17, 2005
The character of a well-known musical, fast-talking salesman "Professor" Harold Hill, arrives in the little Iowa town of River City with a classic "con." The author of How To Live Like a King's Kid, a spiritual con man of the same name, tries to sell a twisted doctrine of "Blab It and Grab It" nonsense with the same slick style. Deny yourself and follow Christ? No, according to Harold Hill. He teaches that God wants us to be self-consumed with aquiring lavish goodies for our comfort and ease. It is not about taking up the Cross and serving others; instead, it is about "Health and Wealth" if we will just "Name It and Claim It". How sick!
An Utter Embarrassment for Christians Feb 7, 2005
I wish I could rate it lower than one star.
According to www.snopes.com, this book contains a chapter devoted to the urban legend of the NASA computer uncovering the missing day of Joshua. Could some please verify this that this book contains that false story -- I have not read the book and I will gladly delete this review if I am wrong. If this book does contain the false NASA story then this book is worse than trash and should be avoided. I speak as a Christian (who is a software engineer and has worked in the aerospace industry) who hates to see stories circulated that are so obviously false that makes Christians look like stupid fools.
